Caribbean Sunset

This is a painting technique I discovered online, and I very much enjoy it. Kudos if you can figure out the medium I used.

My first sunset; I did this two years ago. I've come a long way since then, but I still like the way it turned out. I don't have this one anymore. I gave it to a friend and co-worker for her birthday last November.
